- Make sure you have taken care of everything that must be handled during the time you are planning to write. Take care of whatever must be done so that you can forget about it for the next few hours.
- Don't try to do something else at the same time. We live in a world where multi-tasking is almost expected. Forget about doing a load of laundry or cooking your special soup while you are writing. Let those things go until you have completed your writing session.
- Only work on one thing at a time. If you are finishing an ebook, don't post to your blog or write another article. Focus solely on the writing you have intended for this particular day.
